  • 5-6 kg                               2.5 hours to 3 hours
  • 6-7 kg                               3 hours to 3.5 hours
  • 7-8 kg                               3.5 to 4 hours
  • 8-9 kg                               4 to 4.5 hours
  • If you want to use a meat thermometer to check if your turkey cooking is done, place it in the thickest part of the animal i.e the thigh. If it shows a steady temperature of 165° F your roasted turkey is perfectly cooked.

✪ Stovetop roasted turkey cooking time:

  • To roast turkey on a stove-top you can use a pot or a dutch-oven. Once you have marinated your turkey, brown it in some butter in your container.
  • Then pour in the marinating sauce with some water. Leave to cook on medium.
  • The cooking time for stovetop roasted turkey is calculated similarly to Oven baked roasted turkey i.e 20 minutes per lbs at 325 ° F/165° C
