The specificity of a sauce is its consistency that can be more or less liquid. However, it can be composed of various different ingredients.
The difficulty in making a sauce is highly variable. Why? Because a sauce can be either a simple juice or an elaborated mixture of different ingredients, so it can be very easy to make or technically difficult to achieve.
Sauces can have liquid, thick, creamy, fluid, unctuous or syrupy consistency. Sauces are an integral part of the national gastronomic heritage in lot of countries!
