Ingredients

Metric US
warm water
1 1/2 cup
Active-dry yeast
2 teaspoons
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
All-purpose flour
560 grams
Salt
  1. The first step is to dissolve the yeast in the water: pour the warm water in a large bowl and stir in the yeast. Let stand until the yeast dissolves completely.
  2. Next stir in the all-purpose flour, water and olive oil and combine using a spatula till you obtain a shaggy dough.
  3. Remove from the bowl and knead on your kitchen work top till you obtain a homogenous ball. If the dough is sticky add some more flour but avoid adding too much flour.
  4. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour before using.
