Who doesn’t love muffins? As a snack or as a dessert, muffins are a delight for young and old! Of Welsh origin, muffins have made their way everywhere since the 11th century and we are now addicted to this recipe! Note that these little cakes are very easy to make and the original recipe only requires mixing three main ingredients! See for yourself!

Ingredients

Metric US
Unsalted butter
120 grams
Eggs

Powdered sugar
150 grams
Flour
150 grams
baking powder
10 grams
  1. Turn on the oven and let it preheat to 180° C (356° F).
  2. In a large bowl, place your whole eggs and 150g of powdered sugar and whisk vigorously until all the sugar is absorbed.
  3. In a frying pan or in the microwave, you can melt the butter and then add it to the egg and sugar mixture. Whisk again to mix the butter well.
  4. Once the mixture is ready, you can now arrange the batter in small muffin tins, or a cupcake tin. Be careful to fill the molds two-thirds full as muffin batter tends to rise very quickly. Then place them on your baking sheet.
  5. Put your baking sheet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. You can also add flavorings to your muffins, such as vanilla or almond extract! Just add them to your batter before putting them in the baking pan!
  7. Once your muffins are ready, let them cool or serve them warm as a snack or dessert! What a treat for the taste buds!
