What could be better than making our own yogurt? You don’t need a yogurt maker for that! All you need is one day to make it and only three ingredients!

Whole milk, yogurt and milk powder. You will get at least ten pots of plain yogurt with no additives!

It’s a great way to feed healthy food to your little ones, who probably love yogurt!

Ingredients

Whole milk
1 liter
plain yoghurt
1
whole milk powder
2 tablespoons
  1. Preheat your oven to 35° C.
  2. In a saucepan, pour the milk and bring to a boil, remove from heat as soon as the milk begins to boil.
  3. Let the milk cool for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Once the milk is lukewarm, mix it with the plain yogurt and milk powder and whisk rigorously with a whisk until you get a homogeneous and liquid texture. Be careful not to leave any lumps.
  5. If you want to make sweet yogurt, add brown sugar or vanilla sugar to add flavor to your yogurt.
  6. Pour the liquid obtained into small individual jars and close them.
  7. Put in the oven or steamer for 4 to 5 hours at 35° C!
  8. Once cooked, place your jars in the refrigerator.
  9. Note: If you don't have any small pots, prepare the yogurt in a cast iron casserole for example, and serve it with a spoon when it's ready! Moreover, served this way, everyone can serve themselves according to their hunger and accompany their yogurt with jam or fresh fruit (strawberries, cherries, peaches, apricots, pineapple, mango, pears, bananas or apples). Everything is possible! You can also add to your yoghurt some syrup of the fruit of your choice for the happiness of the youngest!
