Discover an all-time favorite Chinese recipe: chicken in sweet and sour sauce. The famous sweet and sour sauce traditionally made with honey, vinegar and fruit traditionally comes from the Provence of Huan in China and is generally used to garnish shrimp, pork, fish or chicken as in this recipe. You can of course make your own homemade sweet and sour sauce or use a ready-made pot as I have done here.

- Chicken fillets

- Canned sweet and sour sauce
- 5 tablespoons

- crushed garlic clove

- Tapioca starch
- 1 tablespoon

- Cut the chicken into strips. Marinate with crushed garlic cloves, tapioca starch, ginger, salt and pepper. Leave to marinate for as long as possible.
- Peel and cut the carrots into medium slices. Cut the peppers into pieces (clean well and remove the seeds first).
- Add the chicken. Lightly brown on all sides quickly over medium heat for about 3 or 4 minutes. Add the onions halfway through cooking.
- Add carrots and peppers and sauté 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the sweet and sour sauce and a little water. Then cover your pan and cook for a few minutes, stirring until the sauce reduces.
- Adjust the seasoning with salt if necessary.
- Sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot with rice.
