Ingredients

Metric US
drained and cooked chickpeas
400 grams
lemon (juice)
1 teaspoon
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
grounded cumin
1 teaspoon
Chopped garlic
1 teaspoon
sesame oil
  1. Réserver le jus des pois chiches.
  2. Mettre les pois chiches dans un mixeur pour les transformer en purée pendant environ 5 minutes. Vous devez obtenir une consistance crémeuse. Certains préfèrent avoir un houmous légèrement granuleux. Dans ce cas il faut mixer moins longtemps!
  3. Incorporer le jus de citron, l’ail haché, le cumin et l'huile d'olive. Rajouter le jus des pois chiches jusqu'à obtention d'une pâte épaisse mais souple.
  4. Verser la pâte d’houmous dans un grand bol et réserver au frais. On peut servir l’houmous arrosé d'un filet d'huile d'olive ou d'huile de sésame et parsemé d'herbes ciselées . Une présentation soignée est de mise. Bon appétit !
