Jacket potato recipes are usually easy recipes to cook potatoes with their skin; they can be consumed hot and lightly salted with butter, cheese or sauce. The potato which is  prepared, in a very sober way, preserves all its nutritional qualities and its flavor.

There are several ways to cook them: boiled, baked or steamed..

The most traditional  baked cooking mode is certainly to roast the potato wrapped in aluminum foil under ashes. This technique is widely used during barbecue evenings around the fire. First, prick the potato with clean fork to prevent it from bursting. Then wrap it in aluminum foil, place it under the ashes of your wood fire and wait about 50 to 60 minutes for your potatoes to be perfectly cooked with a melting texture.
