Ingredients

Metric US
shortbread (or sanded paste)
1
Apples
4
Sugar
120 grams
corn or potato starch (maïzena)
35 grams
egg yolks
3
milk
250 milliliters
cinnamon
2 teaspoons
vanilla icecream
1 can
  1. Start by preheating your oven to 200° C! Prepare a pie dish that you have buttered beforehand and place some baking paper and then spread the short-crust pastry dough. If you have not bought ready-made dough, you can also make it yourself. It is very easy to make your own short-crust dough.
  2. Wash, peel, cut and cut apples into thin slices to prepare the filling. Then carefully place the pieces of apples on your dough.
  3. In a large container (mixing bowl), mix egg yolks with sugar, milk, cornflour and cinnamon. Stir vigorously with a hand or electric whisk until you have a smooth consistency. You can then pour your mixture on the apples.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a hot oven.
  5. Leave to cool or eat hot as you wish.
  6. Note: Your pie can be flavored with the spices of your choice: nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, 4 spices! For a successful dessert, we advise you to accompany your apple pie with a scoop of ice cream of your choice or with cream!
