This cocktail was created in 1938 by an American bartender who wanted it to have a colour gradation which looked like sunrise. However it was modified as from 1976 and the sparkling water was replaced by orange juice and  blackcurrant cream with grenadine syrup.

  1. This recipe is made directly in the glass.
  2. Pour the tequila on some ice cubes, then pour the orange juice and stir well.
  3. Then slowly pour the grenadine syrup which must sink to the bottom of the glass. Give a little spoon tap to refine the gradient.
  4. Serve with an orange slice.
