Originaires du moyen orient, les falafels sont des boulettes savoureuses préparées à base de pois chiches épicées et de fèves. Pour la réalisation de cette recette, vous pouvez utiliser des pois chiches secs trempés au préalable dans l’eau ou tout simplement utiliser les pois chiches en conserve pour vous faciliter la tâche.

Ingredients

Metric US
Canned chickpeas
250 grams
onion

Parsley
1 bunch
coriander
1 bunch
Cumin
1 teaspoon
salt and pepper

  1. Lavez et égouttez les pois chiches. Pelez l’ail et l’oignon, découpez l’oignon en quartier. Lavez la coriandre et le persil.
  2. Equipez votre robot cuiseur du couteau hachoir. Incorporez tous les ingrédients dans la cuve. Fermez le couvercle et « mixez » pendant 40 secondes.
  3. Ouvrez le couvercle. A l’aide d’une spatule, raclez les parois de la cuve. Fermez le couvercle et « mixez » pendant 40 secondes.
  4. Ouvrez le couvercle. Faites des boules à l’aide d’une petite cuillère et abaissez les légèrement pour en former des palets.
  5. Dans une poêle antiadhésive, faites chauffer de l’huile et faites cuire les palets pendant 3 minutes le temps de dorer. Prenez soin de tourner les palets afin que toutes les surfaces soient bien colorées.
  6. Voilà, les falafels sont maintenant prêts ! A déguster chaud ou froid à votre convenance.
