A very fresh Italian dessert that can be served with various fruit coulis (mango, lime, raspberry, strawberry, etc.) and even a chocolate coulis.

Ingredients

Metric US
single cream
1 liter
Powdered sugar
90 grams
vanilla pod
2
gelatin leaves
4
Red or exotic fruit coulis
3 Decilitres
  1. Warm up the cream, sugar and vanilla till the mixture starts to boil.
  2. Pour the gelatine which has prior been left to soften in the cold water.
  3. Leave the mixture stand till it cools down before pouring in glasses or verrines. Leave to chill in the refrigerator 1 hour.
  4. Then add the fruit coulis on an atleast 1/2 cm thickness and again leave to chill in the refrigerator for 4 more hours.
