An easy to make delicious chocolate cake with a some whiskey and coffee  for a magical twist. This cake can be accompanied with a vanilla ice cream, a pastry cream or simply some whipped cream.

Ingredients

Metric US
Flour
140 grams
Sugar
200 grams
baking powder
1 packet
Butter
160 grams
Eggs
10
strong espresso coffee
20 centiliters
Whiskey
8 centiliters
Plain chocolate
400 grams
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the sugar, the whiskey, the coffee, the butter and the diced chocolate.
  3. Allow to melt in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  4. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  5. Whisk the egg whites until they form peaks.
  6. Add the egg yolks to the chocolate mixture and mix.
  7. Gradually stir in the flour and baking powder.
  8. Delicately stir in the whipped egg whites.
  9. Butter and flour a pan and pour in the mixture.
  10. Bake for 30 mins.
  11. Leave to cool for a few hours before feasting.
