Ingredients
- Shortcrust pastry+ a small quantity to decorate
- 250 grams
- Ripe bananas
- 15
- Sugar (for the caramel)
- 4 tablespoons
- egg yolk
- 1
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356 °F).
- Prepare a caramel in a saucepan.
- Peel, slice and mash bananas.
- Add the banana puree to the caramel and cook until thick and brown.
- In the meantime, butter the pie pan, place the shortcrust pastry in it, for a pre-baking in the oven.
- Once the banana puree is ready, let it cool.
- Remove the pie pan from the oven and top the pie with the banana puree.
- With the extra piece of shortcrust pastry, make thin, uniform ribbons to cover the pie and give it a basket style (photo).
- Mix the egg yolk with a little milk. With a brush brush the pie and put in the oven.
- Bake until the pie is golden brown.
