- Preheat the oven to 220°C (430 °F).
- Slice the onion and fry it in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil.
- In a salad bowl, mix the meat, egg, bread crumbs and onion. Gently pour in the milk, mixing gently. Salt, pepper and add the thyme.
- Roll small balls with the meat mixture and place them directly in an oven dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Prepare the creamy sauce. In a frying pan melt the butter. Gently pour in the flour and mix for 2-3 minutes. While continuing to mix, pour in the milk and then the broth. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and continue cooking, mixing for a few more minutes to thicken the sauce.
- After 20 minutes of cooking the meatballs, take the dish out of the oven. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and put the dish back in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Serve the meatballs in a creamy sauce sprinkled with parsley and served with mashed potatoes.
