  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (430 °F).
  2. Slice the onion and fry it in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. In a salad bowl, mix the meat, egg, bread crumbs and onion. Gently pour in the milk, mixing gently. Salt, pepper and add the thyme.
  4. Roll small balls with the meat mixture and place them directly in an oven dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Prepare the creamy sauce. In a frying pan melt the butter. Gently pour in the flour and mix for 2-3 minutes. While continuing to mix, pour in the milk and then the broth. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and continue cooking, mixing for a few more minutes to thicken the sauce.
  6. After 20 minutes of cooking the meatballs, take the dish out of the oven. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and put the dish back in the oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve the meatballs in a creamy sauce sprinkled with parsley and served with mashed potatoes.
